Our Story

It started with a fawn and white Boxer named Trixie.

I brought her home when she was just 8 weeks old, and from that very first ride she took to the truck like she was born for it. No fuss. No trouble. She'd sit quietly while I fueled up, never touched food I left sitting right next to her, and rode with me for 12 years without a single complaint. Trixie wasn't just a good dog — she was the perfect truck dog.

She taught me what it really means to have a co-pilot.

Over those 12 years I noticed something frustrating. Every time I needed something for Trixie — gear for the truck, something to keep her comfortable on long rides, something to keep the cab clean — I was driving to the pet store, then the superstore, then searching online, just to piece together what I needed. There was no one place built for people like me. People who don't leave home without their dog.

So I built it.

The Truck Dog is the store I always wished existed. Everything a truck dog owner needs, in one place, chosen by someone who actually lives this life.

Trixie rode with me for 12 years before she passed, and I miss her every single day. But the tradition lives on. These days my co-pilots are Ace, a brindle Boxer boy, and Daisy, a reddish brown and white Boxer girl. They ride with me everywhere — just like Trixie did.

This store is for everyone whose dog rides shotgun. Whether you've got a Lab in a Silverado, a Shepherd in a Tacoma, or a Boxer in whatever I'm driving that day — you belong here.

Welcome to The Truck Dog. Built for the dog that rides shotgun.
